Letter From Dr. Cooperman
The trust you place in us everyday is our highest priority. The health and safety of you and our staff are a part of that trust. We are all concerned about the uncertainty of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the challenges that come with it. I want to assure you that we are keeping up to date with news from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and the WHO (World Health Organization) and our Federal and Local leaders as to the standards and precautions to take moving forward.
Being a part of the health industry already mandates that we follow stringent guidelines with regard to sterilization, sanitizing, and aggressive cleaning procedures. We have had a recent meeting with our OSHA, HIPPA, and other ADA (American Dental Association) protocols to continue with these and other guidelines as it relates to the coronavirus. Please know that:
-We sterilize all instruments between each patient
-We wipe down our chairs, work stations, lights, handpieces, etc. between each patient
-We properly dispose of all items (old wires, brackets, cotton rolls, suction tips, etc and do not recycle any of these items
-We use gloves, hand washing and hand sanitizer between every patient
-We wipe down and spray our waiting room chair arm rests and fabric with sanitizer each morning and between every patient.
-We also clean our children’s play toys, and wipe down our toothbrushing station throughout the day
-We are single booking patients, to allow ourselves time before and after every person to wipe all counter tops and door handles upon arrival and exit.
– We are screening for fever using a temporal thermometer that is applied against the forehead.
We will continue to monitor the situation. We have encouraged anyone on our staff feeling ill to stay home. We are ready and prepared the best way we know how at this time. Please call us if you have any questions regarding this email.
My staff and I feel very blessed to have the best patients in the world in our practice and the opportunity to serve you and make a difference in your smiles and oral health. We thank you for your trust in us and will continue to work hard every day to earn that trust.
Take care of yourself and each other,
Dr. Cooperman and Team.
