The Winner of Dental Ben's Giveaway

Peoria dentist, Dr. Ben Cooperman, decided he would do his part during this difficult time by giving Peoria residents a reason to smile. In April, Dental Ben’s asked locals to nominate a Peoria resident who has shown outstanding humanity, distinguished service in the community and who could benefit from $2000 in free dental treatment.

After having received many nominations, Dr. Cooperman and his staff selected the finalists and on May 15th they announced the winner: Sergio Gomez. 

Sergio is 18 years old and was nominated by his girlfriend Kaylee who thought he was very deserving. After an initial visit, Dr. Cooperman realized Sergio needed further dental treatment and decided to provide him with $4000 of free dental work to make sure that Sergio would go home with a beautiful and healthy smile. 

In dentistry, it’s the Dentist’s duty to address infection before cosmetics. With that in mind, it can be a struggle for people in Sergio’s position to correct an esthetic situation due to other underlying issues. This is why Dr. Cooperman went beyond the $2,000 promised to make sure Sergio was happy with his smile.

When asked about how he felt after winning, Sergio replied, “It means a lot to me that I can have the smile I always wanted.” Sergio believes his new smile will not only make him feel more confident, but it will give him a reason to laugh and smile much more often.
